Creating alliterations
Over the last few weeks we have been writing alliterations with our buddies. We have created some excellent drawings and sentences
Coin challenge
Yesterday's 5A bought 18.2 metres worth of Australian coins to donate to The Make a Wish Foundation. It was a great fun way to raise money. The school raised over $900 in total. We need to wait until Friday to find out which grade had the longest and most valuable line.

Newspaper challenge
To celebrate the great start to 2016 and the end of CALC we created a newspaper challenge for the students. They worked in groups from prep to Grade 6 and had to create a costume out of newspaper and masking tape. The results were fantastic.

Starting off in Grade 5
Term 1 has already been so busy with starting in grade 5, doing CALC activities and of course interschool sports.
This week we were able to participate in a tennis clinic in addition to our weekly PE lesson. It was great fun to rally against friends. Next week we are going to have mini matches.
